This review is from: Black & Decker PHV1210 12-Volt Pivoting Cyclonic Hand Vac (Misc.) This Black & Decker Dustbuster does not hold a charge. I received it on a Wednesday (May 25, 2011), connected the charger at 4:00 p.m. First used on Friday at 10:00 a.m. (had charged 42 hours) did not hold -- put back in charger for another 24 hrs. Again, did not hold. According to the online return policy of the seller, CPO, does not give one a credit on his or her card. In other words, you cannot return a defective product even though AMAZON claims "the seller guarantees a 30 day money back" And if you return for exchange, they will charge you the shipping cost if it were free (I question the legality of this) as well as a replacement charge. When I called CPO's Customer Service today, the machine said reconditioned products and new. I suspect the one I received it not new, thus the problem. I plan to look into the legal issue. Beware of Amazon's sellers. I keep it plugged in inside my pantry in the kitchen and is comes really handy if you have kids. I use it everyday to clean up the mess my 2 yr old makes while she eats. Is light, has good suction and is always charged and ready to use. Love that I don't have to get the big vacuum out for spot cleaning. And no cord is GREAT. I bought one of these for minor clean up in my car. It is not strong enough for heavy duty pick-up, but it is great for minor cleaning and really good for getting in between seats etc.. I love the pivot function and the narrowness of the tool allows me to vacuum between the driver seat and the door/frame where it is hard to normally vacuum. I have not had any problems with it holding a charge. I am buying a second one for my work vehicles.
